Bella Collina Wedding | Lulu + Alex

Our first wedding of 2019 and all we can say is WOW! A couple that was just so in love, a killer team of vendors, the most gorgeous venue we’ve ever shot at, an amazing bridal party, and a beautiful Florida day came together to create one of the most perfect wedding days we’ve ever been a part of! Lulu and Alex are both in the wedding industry, with Lulu being a fellow photographer and Alex is a DJ. With that, we knew this wedding day was going to have all sorts of gorgeous details and we were not disappointed! They decided on a sort of destination wedding at Bella Collina in Orlando and had all their family and friends come up from Miami for their big day. Not only that, but the fabulous vendors were from their hometown and we all gladly made the drive to shoot their wedding last Saturday. Then one thing that I love at a wedding has to be a photo booth, as they just create so much fun that guests just love it. I was at a wedding in the UK in Manchester recently that had an amazing photo booth from Picture Blast that went down an absolute storm, so they are the place to look if you’d like a photo booth at your UK wedding. Lulu and Alex’s 25 person bridal party is such a testament to who they are as people. They are kind, loyal, fun, and just all around wonderful souls who treasure their friends like if they were family. Almost half of Lulu’s bride tribe were photographers and we loved getting to know all these amazing ladies who treated us as if were one of the crew! Their love for Lulu and Alex was evident and it felt as though their bridal party was just as excited as they were to be getting married. Lulu and Alex have a long history together (since junior high!) and although they went their separate ways for some time, God brought them back together to become one and unite their families. Lulu has a son from her previous marriage (who walked her down the aisle *cue all the tears*) and Alex has a son and a daughter who looked on lovingly as they tied the knot.

But this wedding almost didn’t happen. You see, almost exactly a year ago, Lulu was involved in a terrible car accident in which she almost lost her leg and her life. If you also got injured in a vehicular accident, you may hire a personal injury attorney to help you seek compensation.

Her leg was completely shattered and all of 2018 was spent either in the hospital, doctors offices, or in intense therapy to help her walk again. It was actually a miracle that she was able to walk down the aisle on her wedding day and dance at her reception. But it just proves her resilience and positive attitude because, through it all, she never lost her spark or her smile. Alex was by her side the entire time helping his bride recover and get “back on her feet”. Their love story is one for the books and we are just honored that we were able to capture their love and be a part of their special day.
