Now that our state is slowly opening back up after this pandemic, we had the honor of capturing one of the most amazing proposals we’ve ever witnessed! There was shock, tears, joy, laughter, and so many emotions all tied into this moment of pure bliss for Alex and Grant! Grant reached out to us in early March looking for a photographer to capture his proposal to his girlfriend Alex. They live in Texas. but she had a trip to Palm Beach planned with just her mother at the end of May. With everything that happened with the virus, he almost lost hope that his plan was going to happen, but thankfully, The Breakers opened back up just a few days before they arrived to FL.
The entire time Alex was here in Florida, she thought Grant was back in Texas! Little did she know that on that Saturday morning she’d get the surprise of her life! He planned it all out with us and her mother to get her out to the Mediterranean Courtyard before going to lunch. She stepped out into the courtyard saw Grant but didn’t recognize him the first time because, in her mind, he wasn’t even supposed to be there! Her mom had to point him out to her and once she realized he was there, she lost it completely! As tears streamed down her face, she walked towards him fully knowing what was about to happen. All we could hear was her exclaiming “No way!”, “Oh my gosh!”, and “I love you so much!” Then Grant got down on one knee and as he Alex to be his wife! I (Kristy) was literally crying behind the camera as a flood of emotions overwhelmed me thinking about what a beautiful moment this was for them and how WE got to be the ones to photograph it!
This was truly one of the sweetest, most emotional, and amazing proposals we’ve ever had the privilege of capturing! These two are meant for each other and make the most perfect pair! We’re sharing this, amidst all that’s going on in this world, to bring a little light and love into it!
