About 2 years ago, we got an email from this wonderful husband and wife wedding photography team we had met at a marriage retreat we attended. They told us they were planing their 10 year vow renewal and wanted us to come to Ohio to capture it for them! We’re truly always honored when we get a chance to capture someones special day but we’re even more humbled when it’s another wedding photographer. It means the world to us that they would choose us AND the fact that they were willing to fly us from Florida to Ohio. Stevie and Kent booked us even before we were trying to have a baby and it’s pretty awesome that the timing worked out just right for us to bring Emma along with us. We absolutely LOVE the fact that they decided to have a full-blown wedding to celebrate 10 years of marriage and this was the perfect way for us to start our fall wedding and engagement season!

As we arrived to the Scarlet Oaks Estate, we immediately fell in love with the quaint little house, the rustic barn, and all the beautiful trees on the property. Since it was a vow renewal, Stevie and Kent made it all about them and their boys (which we LOVED!) They got their boys ready together and then helped each other get dressed. It was intimate and sweet and absolutely perfect! They had a gorgeous ceremony right outside the back porch of the house and their reception in the barn. And although there was a big chance of rain the entire day, not one drop fell until we were all safe inside the barn for the reception. We had the best time with this awesome couple and we’re SO excited to be sharing some favorites from their Scarlet Oaks Estate wedding!
