Some love stories begin with a chance meeting or matching on a dating app. Others begin long before either person realizes they’re writing a love story at all! For this incredible Baker’s Cay Resort wedding in Key Largo, Cristy and Jason’s journey started in childhood. Their families had been friends for years, creating a foundation of shared memories, travels, and connections long before they ever imagined standing together at the altar. As wedding photographers, we have the privilege of witnessing all kinds of love stories, but there was something especially meaningful about documenting a day that felt like the culmination of decades of friendship and family.
One of our favorite parts of this wedding wasn’t just the beautiful details or incredible scenery, it was the deep history behind Cristy and Jason’s relationship. Because their families have known each other for years, their wedding day felt incredibly personal! There was such a sense of joy in knowing that so many of the people present had watched them grow up, evolve, and eventually find their way to each other!
The day unfolded beautifully against the backdrop of Baker’s Cay Resort in Key Largo. They had the sweetest first look amidst the trees just off the beach and exchanged private vows. Cristy and Jason tied the knot surrounded by their closest family and friends as the ocean sparkled behind them. The ceremony was heartfelt and emotional, with plenty of laughter woven between the tears. Their reception was filled with everything that makes a wedding unforgettable: heartfelt speeches, packed dance floors, and the kind of energy that only comes from celebrating with people who truly know and love you!
