We are currently sitting in a hotel room instead of being home in Miami. Yep, it happened to us… we missed our flight! We completely forgot that it was a holiday weekend and that the airport was going to be packed, and long story short, we didn’t get on the plane. Now we are staying in a hotel by the airport because there were no flights out of Phoenix today. So plans change, things happen, but we are making the best of it and enjoying looking over these photos from our trip to San Diego, California last week.

We’ve been away from home for 10 days, well, 11 days now and the first stop on our trip to the West Coast was San Diego. We had heard that the city was beautiful and that it had great weather, but it surpassed our expectations completely! San Diego has perfect weather, and I mean perfect! Little humidity, a constant breeze, and temperatures in the 70s and 80s all day long. Compared to Miami’s humidity and heat, this was heaven. Not only was the weather perfect, but the scenery there is unlike anything we’ve ever seen. From mountains, to oceans, to everything in between, San Diego is absolutely breath-taking! We were in absolute awe of the beauty around us and we are so glad we were able to experience it! Here are some photos from our recent adventures in San Diego!

Our first stop in San Diego was La Jolla! Which was SO beautiful! And lets talk about all the seals!!!! We were so close to them :)A huge thank you to Vic’s cousin, JP, for allowing us to invade your home for an entire week! I never got tired of this view! We stopped at this building and stood outside in awe of how beautiful it is. We later found out that this was a mormon church!
Right by Vic’s cousins house is this beautiful lake! Can you tell I was excited to be by the lake? After exploring the lake and La Jolla, we decided to go mountain climbing. We climbed 3 miles up and 3 miles down Cowel Mountain. It was exhausting but so rewarding when we got to the top! This was the view from halfway up This #squatshot is for our friend Ryan :)All the way at the top of the mountain, almost 2,000 feet up! We loved the lake so much we went back again! This light on the West Coast is out of hand! Then we went whale watching! And although we saw the whales it was too far away for our cameras! But we were able to capture the dolphins!! And we visited the zoo! I love me some cotton candy!
And one of the main attractions at the zoo… this cute little guy! And we loved La Jolla so much, we went back to visit again! This place is unreal!
