About a week and a half ago, we met this wonderful couple from Oklahoma at one of our favorite Miami venues, Vizcaya Museum, for their elopement! And if you’ve followed us for a bit, you know how much we LOVE elopements! There’s just something so special about a couple willing to forego all the “traditions” of a huge wedding and focus solely on their love and the promises they make to each other that day. Auri and Forrest decided to travel down to Miami for their elopement with just their parents and siblings. We started that morning with their bride and groom portraits around Vizcaya and we loved that they decided to say their vows to each other privately even before their ceremony! Then we headed to Crandon Park for their simple and sweet ceremony under the giant Banyan tree with just their families and us to witness their union.

They are both part of the military and actually met because of it! They were just friends at first, but after a few trips for work, the sparks started to fly and they started dating. He proposed to her at the very spot where he asked her to be his girlfriend on January 1st of this year and a little over a month later they came down to Florida to get married. They wanted something small and intimate from the beginning and their day couldn’t have been more perfect! It was a little warmer than usual for February but Auri and Forrest were soaking it all in after coming from 20 degree weather in Oklahoma! We loved the time we spent with them and their families and they seriously couldn’t be any cuter together! We’re just honored that they chose us to capture their elopement and we’re excited to share some favorites from their Vizcaya Museum Miami elopement with you all today!
