Our first engagement session back in action since having Emma and it was everything we wanted and more! A sweet couple that’s so in love, a gorgeous location, perfect light and weather made for the best session! Even our Emma came along for the session and was an absolute champ (as a matter of fact she slept for most of it). Lua and Jonathan are getting married next month and after spending the afternoon with them last Wednesday, we’re even more excited for their big day! They chose to do their engagement photos at the Ancient Spanish Monastery and we’re so glad they did because it was our first time shooting there and we loved it!

They met 5 years ago through a mutual friend who thought they would be perfect for each other (and she was SO right!) And although they met all those years ago, it wasn’t until about 2 years ago that they connected again, went out for coffee, and spent the entire afternoon together. It was an instant spark and connection from the very beginning and that spark still shows when they’re together! Now the story of their proposal is one for the books! Jonathan decided to propose at the school where Lua works with the help of her best friend and her principal. She had no clue what was happening until she walked into the classroom with all her students holding sunflowers. Jonathan was hiding at the end of the row of students and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him right there in the school. This couple has such a special connection and were so glad we got to capture it last week! Here are a few of our favorites from their Ancient Spanish Monastery engagement!
