We technically skipped Christmas last year! Not the celebrating or gift-giving but the decorating. It made us a little sad but our situation last year was a little different. You see, this time last year we were in a tiny one bedroom apartment that was packed to the brim with boxes and this was because we were about to close on our new home.
As a matter of fact, we signed the papers for this house 2 days after Christmas! Being that there was absolutely no space in our tiny apartment and we didn’t have the new house yet, we didn’t decorate at all for Christmas. It was bittersweet, really, because that’s one of our favorite traditions, but we knew that we were getting an amazing new house and at the end of it all, it was totally worth it! So I’m sure you can imagine how excited we were to decorate our home this year! :)
This year, however, we’re making up for lost time and then some! With our new home finally settled, we’re embracing the holiday spirit with open arms and an eagerness to decorate every corner of our space. From twinkling lights that dance around the windows to a beautifully adorned Christmas tree standing proudly in the living room, it feels like a magical transformation has taken place. To ensure our festivities are uninterrupted, we’re also considering professional residential generator installs to keep the holiday lights shining bright, no matter the weather.
As we sift through our boxes of ornaments and cherished decorations, we’re also excited to add new pieces that reflect our personal style. One of our favorite finds has been furniture from The idea room, which not only complements our holiday décor but also enhances the overall ambiance of our home. The unique designs and thoughtful craftsmanship provide the perfect backdrop for our festive decorations, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere where family and friends can gather and celebrate together.
This year, it’s all about making memories in a space we can truly call our own, and we couldn’t be happier to finally embrace the joy of the season in our beautifully decorated home. We went all out this year because it’s our first Christmas in this home and this is definitely our favorite time of year!
And we were extra excited that this Christmas we are also celebrating the fact that we have our best Christmas gift in the form of a little babe in the making (so you will see a few baby related things incorporated into our Christmas decor) This has, by far, been the best holiday season ever for us and we’re so grateful for the many blessings God has given us!
So without further ado, here are some images of our Christmas decor and where we got it! We hope it can serve as a little inspiration for you all :)
You may also purchase Rare art pieces for sale that can be used as home decor.
The Merry Christmas sign is from Hobby Lobby and the garland is from Michaels (both of which had amazing Christmas sales!) These are our ABSOLUTE favorite Christmas decorations! The stockings were all from Target and we found this small frame for the ultrasound at Michaels. The small flocked tree is from HomeGoods and the silver tree is from Pottery Barn We have a funny story about our tree! We originally bought a smaller, thinner tree and once we put it in our house it looked so sad! We then gave it to a friend of ours and bought this big, fluffy beauty at a local tree farm :) Our dining room setup hasn’t changed much in all these years because we just love this arrangement so much! These two flocked trees are from Macy’s and we got the baskets for them at HomeGoodsThese mini wreaths are the perfect touch to the back of our kitchen chairs! And this is another one of our favorite little setups in the kitchen! The mini houses are from Target and the mini trees are from Michaels We literally put Christmas decor in every part of our house and the breakfast nook got a cute setup too! Obsessed with this wreath from Michaels! And here’s the outside of the house! We decided to do wreaths instead of Christmas lights but will probably add lights tot his setup next year :)
Wishing all of you a very merry Christmas and an amazing new year! :)
