They actually met on Valentine’s Day about 5 years ago. Mallary was going out with some of her girlfriends, with no intention of meeting guys, and Ryan was also out with his guys that same night. They saw each other from across the room (totally sounds like a movie right?!), approached each other, started talking, and have been together ever since. They dated long distance for a year until Mallary was able to move to Orlando with Ryan. At the end of last year, they took a trip to Sedona in Arizona and, although the trip didn’t go exactly as planned with Mallary having a heat stroke, Ryan proposed to her during their time there. It was just them two on this trip but a stranger, that was also visiting Sedona, caught their proposal on video and it went viral! So I guess you could say we got photograph a famous couple this past week ;)

Mallary and Ryan decided to have their engagement session done at Club Lake Plantation (which you may recognize from Jessica and Kyle’s wedding last year) where they will be getting married next February. We spent our Valentine’s Day with them for their session last Thursday and had such a great time laughing and getting to know them better! We loved walking around the property, saying hi to the horses that call this place home, and photographing them together at this awesome venue. They have such a great connection and chemistry and the only bad thing is that we now have to wait an entire year to hang out with them again.
