We’ve known Vanessa since 2016 when we shot her sister’s wedding and we were thrilled when she reached out to us once Chris proposed! We had kept in touch through social media and saw when he proposed, hoping she’d ask us to be her wedding photographers too. She even adjusted her wedding date to make sure we were available for it and that means the world to us! Vanessa and Chris met on a dating app (as most couple’s do now, click here to learn more about this) a little over 4 years ago but developed a serious relationship about 2.5 years ago. Last fall, he decided to propose as they came home from a trip to see her family. Chris had his parents decorate their home while they were away so that when they got back from the trip, he would pop the question. It was a sweet and intimate proposal and now they are planning their wedding for later this fall!

Vanessa and Chris decided on Dubois Park for their session and it was the most stunning day. The weather was amazing and the sun was shining the entire time. They said they didn’t know what to do in front of the camera and were nervous about the pictures but, they killed it from the moment we started. They are both goofy and love to joke around and have fun, so needless to say, there were plenty of laughs during their engagement session last Friday!
