It’s so good to be home! After the madness with missed flights and then delayed flights, it’s nice to sleep in your own bed (can I get an amen?) Last week we blogged about our first half of our West Coast trip in San Diego, and today we are sharing our second half where we visited Phoenix, Arizona! We drove from San Diego to Phoenix, and although the drive was almost 6 hours, we didn’t even feel it because the scenery was so stunning!
Since we were in Arizona, we decided to visit the Grand Canyon and drove through Sedona. We were in awe as we drove through the mountains to get to the Grand Canyon. We stopped in Sedona and were astounded at seeing the giant red rock formations. And when we finally got to the Grand Canyon, we were left speechless. We stood there for a few minutes without saying a word and just stood in awe of the beauty of it all. I’m still not sure how people can see the Grand Canyon and still don’t believe there is a God. One of our last days in Phoenix we went Salt River tubing and it was one of the most amazing things we’ve ever done! We couldn’t take our camera but we have the memories forever in our minds! Here’s more of the second half of our West Coast trip in Phoenix!
Us Floridians don’t have this kind of views as we drive through our state, so we were really enjoying this long drive to Phoenix!
Vic’s cousin J.P., and his family decided to join us in our 4 hour drive to the Grand Canyon!
These views in Sedona were unreal!
On the way up to the Grand Canyon, we stopped at Oak Creek and took in this stunning view!
And then… the Grand Canyon! I’ll just let you take a moment to take it all in!
These pictures don’t even do it justice!
Living life on the edge ;)
You see the tiny people behind us to the left, well that was a proposal! The third person was a friend capturing the magical moment!
Another “squat shot” for our friend, Ryan :) HAHA!
And then on our way out of the Grand Canyon, we see these guys just hanging out on the side of the road!
You see the river? That was the one we were riding down on the tubes! We were able to stop and get one picture outside the river before leaving!
And since we missed our flight on Thursday, we were able to catch one more gorgeous Arizona sunsets from the roof of our hotel!
MeriGrand Canyon took my breath away! *sigh*
