Anniversary Session | Anelle + Edgar

We have a special soft spot in our hearts for anniversary sessions. There’s something special about capturing a couple who have been through all the stages of life together. Something special about a mature love who has seen “for better or for worse” and we never take lightly being able to capture such amazing milestones like 10 years of marriage! That’s how long Anelle and Edgar have been married and after 10 years of marriage and two beautiful boys, they are still so in love. Seeing a couple still giggle together and be so much in love after many years is probably our favorite part of any anniversary session.

This anniversary session, however, is extra special for us because Anelle and Edgar are family. We’ve actually seen them go through hard times and still have joy!  Like when Edgar would have to miss family gatherings during the holidays because he was studying for his medical exams and when Anelle had to sacrifice herself and work hard to provide while he was in school. But we’ve also seen them go through amazing times in their lives like the birth of their sons and when they bought their first home. And at all times we’ve seen them love each other fiercely and make it through.

So you can imagine how happy we were when we started planning their 10 year anniversary session with the help of Anelle’s sister, Raquel. We found the perfect backdrop in the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens (you may remember that we shot a wedding here last year) and had the best time photographing this awesome duo. They were telling us that they were so nervous and anxious about the photos because according to them “They don’t look good in pictures” but just wait till you see how amazing they were! We’re so excited to share some of our favorites from their anniversary session with you all today!

And they claimed to be nervous about these pictures! Just look at them :) We love how Anelle’s dress popped against the greenery! port st lucie botanical gardens picturesport st lucie botanical gardens picturesCan we just take a moment and talk about how gorgeous Anelle is?! port st lucie botanical gardens picturesAbsolutely OBSESSED with this pergola! port st lucie botanical gardens pictures.port st lucie botanical gardens engagement picturesAnelle’s sister Raquel gave them a present and this sweet note as a gift for their anniversary…It’s a replica of what the stars looked like on the night they got married! Such a meaningful and amazing gift!

Anelle and Edgar, you two are naturals and we’re honored to have captured this momentous milestone in your lives! We wish you many, many more years of love and happiness! We love you guys very much :)

Freedom Park Engagement Photos We recently photographed the sweetest couple during their Charlotte engagement session, and their quiet, gentle connection was absolutely beautiful to capture. Even though Bailey and James described themselves as a little shy in front of the camera, you would never know it from their photos. They eased into the session so […]

There’s something extra special about photographing couples who’ve grown up together, especially when their story comes full circle. These two high school sweethearts chose to have their Jupiter engagement session right where it all began: the spot where Mike got down on one knee and asked Julia to marry him. It was the sweetest full-circle […]

Some wedding days are grand, and some are beautifully intimate, but Micaya and Wilson’s Palm Beach civil wedding was the perfect blend of joy, simplicity, and family! They chose to exchange vows at the iconic Palm Beach courthouse, surrounded by the people who matter most: their two children. Instead of a big crowd, they had […]
