What a whirlwind this holiday season has been! And our amazing Insta-friends Ryan & Alyssa kicked it off by coming to Miami for a week! We planned this back in August and the month of December couldn’t come fast enough! For those of you that don;t know, we met Ryan and Alyssa through Instagram, yep, you read it right! And now they are one of our closest friends who we love very much and cherish!
We made sure that we set aside time on all the days they were here with us and packed it full of fun stuff to do and see! We took them everywhere, literally everywhere in Miami and the thing we did most… eat! And the one of the first stops we took them to when they arrived… Knaus Berry Farms, where they sell THE BEST cinnamon rolls you’ve ever tasted!
After we stuffed our faces with cinnamon buns (YUUMM!) we traveled to the Barnacle Historic Park in Coconut Grove. We walked around the property and found an amazing little spot with the coolest Spanish moss! Of course, if you haven’t noticed already, we are always up to no good and do all sorts of shenanigans when we get together :) But that’s my favorite part about us, when we are together it is always a good time!
That picture on the right has to be one of my favorites and a prime example of how we act when we are together! :) 
Then we took them to the Coral Gable City Hall and being the photographers that the four of us are, we had to take some portraits of each other :) The light was gorgeous and we couldn’t help ourselves! And let’s start off by saying that Ryan and Alyssa are the cutest together and we LOVE having them in front of our cameras! 
Alyssa likes to hide in the bushes while she takes pictures, but we love her just the same :) 
I have nothing to say about this one! Haha! 
OR the fact that Ryan likes to hug trees (especially palm trees because they don’t have those in South Carolina)… Alyssa seems very concerned! 
We totally were trespassing on the outskirts of someone’s property for these next few shots! This is one tiny street with the cutest little houses that look like they are straight from Europe! But the anxiety was well worth the shots we got :)
Once we visited almost every place in Miami (not really, but it sure felt like it) we took a day trip to Naples! You guys may have noticed that we go to Naples A LOT and we do, but that’s only because it’s our favorite city here in Florida and it’s not to far from Miami. We ate some really good Mexican food as soon as we got there (what a surprise) and once our bellies were full, we went mini-golfing. Needless to say Ryan was in heaven and we had a blast! But even though Ryan plays golf, I’ve got to brag on Vic winning when the four of us played together :) Alyssa and I didn’t stand a chance against the guys, but we were ok with that. 
After mini-golf, we went and explored Old Naples, which is our favorite area in the city. And with both of us being husband and wife photography teams, can you guess what we did? If you guessed took more portraits, then you’re a winner!!! But I mean seriously, how could we not?
Naples has the most beautiful sunsets because it’s on the west coast of Florida. We took Ryan and Alyssa to the pier and watched the sunset before, you guessed it, eating… again! Let’s just say this new year we’re loosing lots of extra weight and working out extra hard! 
Back in Miami, we took them to the Perez Art Museum and walked around the outside portion of the museum. And of course we started with our shenanigans again and have some hilarious pictures to prove it! This first one here, Ryan and I were pretending to be mannequins! Don’t even ask! 
And it was SUPER windy as you can tell! 
We like to call this one “Squats and Guns” 
Although we traveled everywhere, and seems as if we did everything, the best part of it all was just hanging out with our friends. Whether we did mini-golf, visited a museum, or simply played games on our couch, our time spent with these two treasured friends is always the best time! We can’t wait to see them again at the beginning of May in Georgia at the Connect Retreat, but for now we will just relive our good times and laughs with this blog post! Ryan and Alyssa, we love you guys and I know we’ve said it before, but we are truly grateful the God brought friends like you into our lives!
