Stuart Beach Engagement Photos | Jennifer + Ryan

stuart beach engagement photos

Our original plan for this engagement session was to photograph Jennifer and Ryan at House of Refuge. Unfortunately, they closed all the beach all the way up the east coast for the holiday weekend due to COVID-19 and the potential of our beaches getting overcrowded for the Fourth of July. They made the announcement only 2 days before their session but, thankfully, our backup plan ended up working out even better than the original one! Although Jennifer and Ryan live in Tampa, they have a condo here in Stuart where they spend lots of time during the summer. And even though all the public beaches were closed, the private beaches, like the one their condo overlooks, remained open and we were able to do some of their engagement photos on the very beach they spend so much time on! The second part of the session we were able to get on their boat and take photos of them (which Ryan, who is an avid boater, was especially excited about)

Jennifer and Ryan met 2 years ago through the dating app Bumble. Once they matched, they went on their first date and hit it off right away! They often take trips to the Bahamas on Ryan’s boat and one weekend he decided to rent a house and have everyone there for a big family trip! On this trip, he propose to Jennifer right on the beach and the two were set to get married this past May. Well, we all know what happened, and now they pushed their big day to September! And whether it’s going to be a big celebration or a micro-wedding, we know it’s going to be filled with so much love. We loved getting to know Jennifer and Ryan better this past Friday when we captured their engagement session! They are sweet and such great people to be around and know and we cannot wait for their wedding on September! Here are a few sneak peeks from their engagement session!

Jennifer and Ryan, thank you for allowing us to capture your love and choosing us to be your wedding photographers! We had a blast with you both and are so excited for September!

What a beautiful journey this has been and we’re just so grateful for the way the Lord has moved in our lives and business.

We’ve learned so much along the way and are filled with gratitude for the life we live 🩷
We help them build a timeline 🙌🏼

Here’s the deal: most of our couples have never gotten married before and aren’t sure how much time is needed for photos of each portion of their day.

That’s where we come in ☺️

We’ve shot about 200 weddings and we know how much time is needed to allow for photos to be captured without being in a time crunch and feeling flustered!

So we help take that burden off our bride’s shoulders and, if they’re working with a planner, we merge the timelines to make for a seamless wedding day 🫶🏼

The ultimate goal is for us to help relieve stress and for our couples not to have to worry at all about the logistics of photos on their wedding day!
We let them know that it’s totally normal to feel awkward the first 10-15 min of the session 😅

It takes the pressure and expectations off of them and helps them relax almost instantly!

And it’s our job as their photographers to help them feel comfortable and at ease (even with a camera pointed at them) during our time together.

Making our couples comfortable (especially the guys, who normally don’t like photos lol) is top priority and sometimes letting them know it’s ok to feel awkward clears the air!

Go ahead and share this with an engaged couple that needs this reminder 🙌🏼
