Suches, Georgia | Christmas 2016

I know the Christmas hype is completely over and everyone is now full throttle with their goals, working out, eating healthy, and all those wonderful things that happen in January! But I cannot help but share with you our awesome trip to Georgia this Christmas. This was our first time being out of Miami, and the crazy heat, for the holidays (and I’m pretty sure we have already decided that we’re making it a yearly tradition). We went with my family and Peanut, and took the 11 hour drive, which turned into a 15 hour drive up to our cabin in the mountains. We could not have been more excited about it and it turned out to be an amazing trip, except for the fact that I got the flu on Christmas day (womp, womp)

We arrived on the night of the 24th and immediately snuggled up in our mountain cabin! On the morning of the 25th we roamed around the area to explore and immediately fell in love with the scenery and beauty that surrounded us. Then that night, the fever hit me :( We spent the next two days inside the cabin, cozy by the fire, playing board games and just relaxing. Thankfully I started feeling better and we took a mini road trip up to Greenville, South Carolina to see our friends Ryan and Alyssa and meet Christa Rene for brunch! We were so happy to spend some time with our friends and show my family around the beautiful city of Greenville. We had the best time on our trip to Georgia with our family and we are grateful for the time we had together to relax and bond during this trip! We’re sharing a little recap with you all today :)

Exploring on the first day before I caught the flu! Those little cuties on the left are my parents :) Married for 30 years! And our little family! We went to some areas nearby to continue exploring on the 3rd day there! Yay! Loved seeing our friends again and meeting Christa in person for the first time! :) We love these two so much! You can definitely tell which one of us is from Miami! Haha! This is in the middle of Greenville’s downtown area!

This trip has been one of our favorites and we are so glad we took the time during the holidays just to get away! :)

What a beautiful journey this has been and we’re just so grateful for the way the Lord has moved in our lives and business.

We’ve learned so much along the way and are filled with gratitude for the life we live 🩷
We help them build a timeline 🙌🏼

Here’s the deal: most of our couples have never gotten married before and aren’t sure how much time is needed for photos of each portion of their day.

That’s where we come in ☺️

We’ve shot about 200 weddings and we know how much time is needed to allow for photos to be captured without being in a time crunch and feeling flustered!

So we help take that burden off our bride’s shoulders and, if they’re working with a planner, we merge the timelines to make for a seamless wedding day 🫶🏼

The ultimate goal is for us to help relieve stress and for our couples not to have to worry at all about the logistics of photos on their wedding day!
We let them know that it’s totally normal to feel awkward the first 10-15 min of the session 😅

It takes the pressure and expectations off of them and helps them relax almost instantly!

And it’s our job as their photographers to help them feel comfortable and at ease (even with a camera pointed at them) during our time together.

Making our couples comfortable (especially the guys, who normally don’t like photos lol) is top priority and sometimes letting them know it’s ok to feel awkward clears the air!

Go ahead and share this with an engaged couple that needs this reminder 🙌🏼
