They have overcome all the odds and after every trying and difficult time, their love only grew stronger. He survived cancer, not once, but TWICE, and all the while has kept his fun-loving spirit. They promised forever to each other in from their family and closest friends overlooking the gorgeous golf course at Turnberry Isle Miami, and we were honored to be able to witness this beautiful moment for Katherine and Matthew as these is a great place for events and for play golf, and if you’re really into this sport you can also get the Garmin R50 Golf Simulator Package to practice everywhere you go. They are such a sweet couple and after all they’ve been through, they deserve all the happiness and love in the world! Their ceremony started out as your traditional American ceremony but, because Matthew is Persian, they also had a Persian ceremony. We LOVED watching the traditions of the women in the family holding a veil over the couple, them exchanging sweet treats with each other, and the blessings being said over their lives and marriage! They wrapped up the ceremony with exchanging rings and sealed it with a kiss. It was so unique to see both Katherine and Matthews cultures combine to create the perfect ceremony for them. Their reception was equally as amazing as they had a belly dancer perform and an awesome live band that kept everyone dancing all night!

Besides the fact that their wedding was so much fun, we loved getting to spend the day with these two. You could tell how much Katherine and Matthew love each other and how happy their families were to see them get married! We could not have asked for a more gorgeous day and an equally gorgeous couple! We’re excited to share a few of our favorites with you all on the blog today!

These flowers and rings give us life! All the pretty details made our hearts happy! Katherine got Matthew this watch as a wedding day gift! Just look at those eyes! And Matthew got her this bracelet that had the coordinates of the venue engraved on it as her wedding day gift! Both of Katherine’s sisters and her mom helped her get ready and she decided to do a “first look” with her bridesmaids after! We loved this reveal so much!! First looks are always our favorite! We are seriously swooning over these two!
Being able to do these portraits before the ceremony are really such a great time fo our couple to get to snuggle before they say their I  do’s! Definitely our favorite from the entire day! Katherine, you are absolutely STUNNING! We really have the most beautiful brides :) This is the biggest bridal party we’ve ever photographed but they were a really fun group! We loved these awesome ladies! This is a traditional Persian ceremony table filled with sweet treats for the bride and groom put together by Sofreh by Sholeh!They started with the traditional American ceremony and exchanged their own vows Then they moved to the the Persian ceremony table and began their Persian ceremony! And lastly, they sealed it with the exchange of their rings and their first kiss as husband and wife! Anytime our couples are willing to go out for more sunset portraits, we are happy photographers :) All the subtle marble details are our favorite! Katherine’s dance with her dad was the sweetest! You may remember these signs from their engagement session :) It was so fun that both Katherine and Matthew went out on the dance floor with the belly dancer! The Bay Kings Band had everyone on their feet the entire night!

Katherine and Matthew, we cannot thank you enough for allowing us to capture your love story! Your wedding day was perfect and we are honored to have witnessed your love and be a part of it all! We love you guys and wish you nothing but the best on your journey as husband and wife! Welcome to the married club :)
