UNICO 20°87° Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico
When we first met McKenzie and Alex, it wasn’t in Mexico! It was during one of the most meaningful moments of their lives: their proposal in Palm Beach. From the very beginning, we felt an instant connection with them. Their joy, their laughter, and the way they looked at each other made that proposal unforgettable to photograph. So when they reached out months later and said, “We want you to come to Mexico and photograph our wedding at UNICO 20°87°,” we were beyond honored. Being invited to capture both the beginning of their engagement and the celebration of their marriage felt incredibly special. And their UNICO 20°87° destination wedding in Riviera Maya turned out to be every bit as magical as we imagined!
The day started slowly and peacefully, with both of them getting ready in suites overlooking the tropical landscape. There was so much buzz and excitement for them to be getting married and they were beaming the entire day! They had the sweetest first look and one of the best and most supportive wedding parties. Their ceremony took place outdoors under the most beautiful gazebo, with the sound of the ocean in the background and a warm Riviera Maya breeze. That same gazebo was the one Mckenzie had seen on Pinterest at the beginning of planning their wedding and she just knew that they had to get married in that exact spot!
The night ended with an amazing reception under the stars and bistro lights, full of emotional speeches, nonstop dancing, and the kind of energy that only happens when everyone has traveled somewhere special to celebrate love! McKenzie and Alex brought so much joy and our cheeks were hurting from all the smiling we did this entire day! We’re so grateful for couples like them who bring us with them to document their love in a gorgeous place like Mexico! Here are some of our faves from their special day
