As we write this blog post, these dear friends of ours have just tied the knot in Israel! Yes, you read that right… ISRAEL!!! And while we wish with all of our hearts that we could have been by their side today as they became husband and wife, we got to do the next best thing and capture their engagement session last week! There are few words we can say to express how much we love Mariah and Peter and how much their friendship means to us. They are our kindred spirits and from the moment we met, we just clicked. We met them both at our church a little over a year ago and it’s as if we were meant to be friends! They are some of the easiest people to be around and we always feel like we can be ourselves around them.

Mariah and Peter met years ago while she was still in high school and although their relationship had its ups and downs, God always brought them back to each other. His hand has always been over their lives and their relationship and now they get to spend forever with each other. We photographed their engagement session last Friday around Worth Avenue and the Church of Bethesda. There was lots and lots of laughter and a whole lot of snuggles and love. They were just so happy to be together and excited that less than a week later, they’d be getting married! So we thought it would be fitting to share some of our favorites from their engagement session on the very day they got married in Israel. We love these two SO much and without further ado, here are a few of our favorites from Mariah and Peter’s Worth Avenue engagement session!

Mar and Pete, happy wedding day friends! We wish we could have been there with you in person but our hearts and prayers were definitely  with you both today! We love you guys and are so excited from this new journey that you’re embarking on! We hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Israel and can’t wait to hug you and congratulate you both when you get back!
