They met in South Carolina while in college at a student union. Rebecca was there looking for community and Phillip was there for the food! They weren’t looking for a romance and instead became very good friends before even dating. Once they realized there were feelings for each other, they started dating and have been together ever since. When Phillip decided he was ready to pop the question, he was looking for the perfect spot to ask Rebecca to marry him. Turns out, a llama vineyard in South Carolina was the perfect place because of her love for animals and really, who doesn’t love the idea of drinking wine and watching llamas? He found the perfect spot secluded away from other people and he proposed to her right there among the llamas and vineyards!

Unfortunately, there were no llamas during their engagement session but we did have the most perfect day at one of our favorite local beaches, House of Refuge! We almost cancelled the session due to rain but we’re glad we didn’t as it turned out to be a beautiful afternoon! We loved meeting Rebecca and Phillip in person and getting to know them better throughout our time together. They have such a genuine connection and are such great people to be around. They get married at the beginning of next year and we’re even more excited for their big day now that we’ve gotten the chance to get to know them! But for now we’re sharing some favorites with you all from their engagement session last Saturday!
