To be honest, this isn’t the norm for us. We’ve never claimed to specialize in newborn sessions, we don’t have the props or swaddles like many newborn photographers do, and before Emma, we were literally terrified of photographing newborn babies LOL! But we can definitely get used to photographing images like these that capture new parents with their babes in their homes. No fluff, no craziness, just a sweet little baby in their safe space with their mom and dad. We let Danae know that we don’t have props or swaddles for newborns and she told us that was perfect because what she really wanted was natural photos of them as a family of 3 in their new home. She wanted photos of Alexander in his nursery, in their arms, as simple as possible, and we were ALL for it! This little squish was only 6 days old when we photographed him and he behaved SO well! He slept the entire time and was the perfect little model for us. That squishy face just gave us all the feels and brought us back to when Emma was that tiny (which seems like forever ago and just yesterday all at the same time) We’ve said it a dozen times, but having our past brides reach out to us to capture other important milestones for them means the world to us. We love these three and can’t wait to see Danae and Ricky further develop in their roles as parents! Alexander doesn’t know it yet, but he’s got the best parents who love him so much! We’re thrilled to be sharing some favorites from their recent newborn session with you all today!
