There’s something so humbling about having another wedding photographer ask you to capture their big day, so when Sarah and Spencer asked us to be a part of their wedding, we were thrilled! Sarah is a photographer in North Carolina but they decided they wanted to get married in sunny Key West. Sarah and Spencer have known each other since their senior year of high school. They met through Spencer’s sister who was good friends with Sarah and introduced them to each other. They hit it off right away and about 6 years of dating, Spencer decided to pop the question and ask Sarah to marry him! They were doing a mini-session with another photographer in the area and Spencer planned it out to surprise Sarah and propose during their session. Now, a year and a half after her proposed, they came to Key West to get married!

Before their wedding day (which we will be sharing later this week!) we got together for a quick engagement session in Key West! We walked around the area on Friday afternoon before their wedding day and found a beautiful row of pastel colored houses that reminded us of Charleston, SC. We had the most beautiful light and even had someone let us use their cute front porch for some photos of Sarah and Spencer! These two are naturals in front of the camera and we had such a great time getting to know them better during our time together! Their personalities compliment each other perfectly and we loved capturing their wonderful connection! Once we wrapped up their session, they invited us to join their wedding guests on an amazing sunset cruise! We brought our camera to capture a few photos just as the sun was setting and that Key West sunset did not disappoint! We’re so happy to be sharing some favorites of their Key West engagement photos with you all today!
