Marriott Marco Island Elopement | Katie + Casey

marriott marco island elopement pictures

If you guys only knew what it took for these two to get to this special day, you’d be shocked! First of all, it’s 2020, which getting married this year alone is a feat. But aside from that, Katie and Casey had to change plans and pivot multiple times throughout the process. The original plan was for them to come to West Palm Beach from New York and then with restrictions in the area due to COVID, they decided to move it across the state to Marco Island! Once we had the date set and the location, Hurricane Eta decided to show up on the radar and the forecast had it heading straight for Marco Island set to make landfall on the very day they were supposed to elope. Friends, we can’t make this stuff up! So a few days before, we all pivoted and scrambled to get all the vendors on board to move their elopement up to last Sunday instead of Monday.

But with all that happening, Katie and Casey moved forward with smiles and joy and tied the knot on the beach in Marco Island. No one knew about their elopement except their parents and no one was there but their children, the officiant, and us. We even got to sign their marriage license as their witnesses! With the impending storm, it was cloudy and there was 100% chance of rain and we weren’t sure we were even going to be able to get outdoor portraits for them. But you guys, we prayed and God pulled through BIG time for this sweet couple and we even got to take some photos on the beach after their ceremony to trash her dress! We are honored that Katie and Casey chose us to capture their sweet and intimate day and we’re so excited to share some favorites from their Marriott Marco Island elopement!
