Our Dominican Republic Trip | Part. 1- Samana

Last week we took a trip to the Dominican Republic for an entire week. This has been one of the best trips we’ve ever been on and we had so much fun! It’s so great to be able to go somewhere with no service and limited Wifi to really disconnect. The last two times we’ve been to DR, we’ve gone to Punta Cana and stayed at a resort. This time, we opted to visit the city of Santiago, where Vic grew up, Samana and Jarabacoa. But for today we will just be sharing the pictures from Samana!

We took a 3 hour drive through the mountains from Santiago to Samana. When we arrived we couldn’t believe the stunning scenery! It literally took our breath away and these were by far the most beautiful beaches we’ve ever seen! I don’t know if there will be another place that can top this and be more beautiful. We went with Carlos and Lala, Vic’s cousin and his wife. You may remember them from their gorgeous wedding in Mexico and we had a blast with them both! Enjoy this gorgeousness today! Here’s part 1 of our trip to the Dominican Republic

Our-Samana-trip_0222We stayed in this cute little Villa right off the beach for 3 days Our-Samana-trip_0223Our-Samana-trip_0224Our-Samana-trip_0225Is this even real?!?! GAH!
Our-Samana-trip_0226Our-Samana-trip_0227We were literally the only ones at this beach! It was so amazing! Our-Samana-trip_0228Our-Samana-trip_0229Our-Samana-trip_0230Our-Samana-trip_0231Our-Samana-trip_0232Our-Samana-trip_0233Our-Samana-trip_0234Our-Samana-trip_0235Our-Samana-trip_0236There’s no PhotoShop in this picture people! We were literally the only 4 people there! Our-Samana-trip_0237

This is Playa Coson, which had only a few more people! Our-Samana-trip_0238Our-Samana-trip_0239Our-Samana-trip_0240Such a clown!
Our-Samana-trip_0241The next day we went to Salto de Limon. We drove about 20 minutes from our villa and once we got there we realized we had to go on horseback to the waterfall!

Riding through scenic trails on horseback, there’s something timeless and grounding about connecting with nature alongside such powerful animals. Horses carry a unique charm—they’re creatures of strength, intuition, and grace. Every ride, whether along mountain paths or open fields, deepens that connection, creating memories and bonds between horse and rider. These experiences are what make horseback adventures unforgettable and why they hold such a special place in people’s hearts. For many, it’s an introduction to a world where horses are not just animals but companions, teachers, and friends.

In today’s world, however, attracting people to these horse-related experiences requires more than just the allure of the ride. Marketing plays a crucial role in conveying the thrill and emotion that equestrian adventures offer. As detailed in https://www.brainzmagazine.com/post/riding-the-journey-a-conversation-with-alec-lawler-on-horses-business-and-resilience-in-show-jump, Lawler discusses the importance of telling authentic stories to engage potential customers. By sharing narratives of personal growth, resilience, and joy found in these activities, businesses can effectively draw in newcomers and horse enthusiasts alike. This approach isn’t just about selling tickets; it’s about inspiring people to discover the magic of riding, fostering lasting relationships, and supporting the industry that brings this unique world to life.

Our-Samana-trip_0242As you can tell, I was really excited! Our-Samana-trip_0243Our-Samana-trip_0244Our-Samana-trip_0245Our-Samana-trip_0246Our-Samana-trip_0247Our-Samana-trip_0248Our-Samana-trip_0249We had to go up and down a mountain to get to the waterfall for about half hour on horseback. It was a little scary but SO worth it! Our-Samana-trip_0250Our-Samana-trip_0251Our-Samana-trip_0252Then we had to walk down the mountain a bit for anther 10 minutes. The worst part was coming back up after haha! Our-Samana-trip_0253Our-Samana-trip_0254This is the first waterfall, which is smaller, but just as beautiful! Our-Samana-trip_0255This is Salto de Limon, in all it’s glory! The natives were telling us that it hasn’t rained in a few months so the waterfall is usually much larger. Our-Samana-trip_0256We saw some of the kids that live there jumping so we decided to join them!

We are definitely going back!
