As we’re sure you can imagine, this blog post is a VERY special one for us! We’re a little over 10 weeks away from welcoming our little girl into the world and there aren’t enough words to express how we feel. There are so many emotions that come with having our first baby but the greatest emotion we feel right now is sheer excitement. It’s coupled with anticipation, love, hope, and joy. We are overwhelmed (in the best possible way) thinking about God’s goodness and mercy throughout this journey to becoming parents. It’s been one of the best seasons we’ve walked through as a couple and this baby girl has already begun to bring us closer than ever. We can’t wait to see what she looks like and to hold her in our arms knowing that she is a small part of both of us. As we pray each night for this little girl, we are filled with joy knowing that she is and will be our greatest blessing!
We are constantly asked about how this pregnancy is going and how I’m feeling. And in all honesty, I can say that this pregnancy has been absolutely fantastic. The last time we blogged about this pregnancy was when we announced it and I was still in the first trimester. We’re happy to share that I’ve continued to feel absolutely phenomenal throughout the second and now third trimester! I have energy, I’m not sick, my body is adjusting well, and although there have been little aches and pains in back and hips, it’s nothing serious at all! This has been such a smooth ride and we know it will continue to be from here on out. Her kicks are stronger and more frequent which definitely makes it more real and we love putting both our hands on my belly to feel her movements. We are forever grateful to the Lord for allowing us this privilege of bringing a sweet girl into this world and becoming parents.
With us getting closer and closer to her due date, we started thinking of our maternity photos. We knew we wanted both outdoor photos as well as more of a lifestyle setting to document this time in our lives. We are so glad we were able to do a photo swap with our friends Karen and Breno from Nassimbeni Photo and Films and we were able to have our sister, Liz, take our lifestyle portraits with Peanut. These are some fo our favorite photos of us and ones that we will cherish for a lifetime. Our photoshoot with Karen last week almost didn’t happen due to rain, but it cleared our at the end and we got the most stunning light towards the end of our shoot with her! And we love that we got to incorporate Peanut in our lifestyle photos with Liz! So without further ado, here are some of our favorites from our recent maternity sessions :)
