What’s on Our Plate? | Greenstreet Cafe

Alright guys, so this post may be completely unrelated to photography, but very much related to something Vic and I love very much. Probably way to much… FOOD! (insert all the heart eyes here) Our obsession with eating and trying new things is so serious. We are major foodies; to the point that food is a part of almost all our conversations with friends. We are always talking about new restaurants we’ve tried and Yelp is our best friend and probably the most used app on our phone. We’re also constantly checking the Spice Kitchen for new recipes and reviews on kitchen products that we might need. We spend way to much money on food, but hey, it’s something we love! And we aren’t picky about it either :) We will try any new food at any restaurant and eat almost anything you put in front of us (except shellfish for Vic and green beans or olives for me… major no-no)

Our profound love for food has inspired this new series: What’s on Our Plate? Every now and then we will be sharing our favorite restaurants here in Miami (or anywhere else we travel to) and what we ate there. You’ll be hearing about our experience and we’ll show pictures of what was on our plate!

My absolute favorite meal is breakfast! I can have breakfast at any time of the day and be so very happy. On Monday morning we decided to visit Greenstreet Cafe, one of our favorite breakfast spots here in Miami. We brought Peanut along (because this place is very dog friendly- bonus points!) and enjoyed breakfast in their outdoor seating area. I had the coconut crusted french toast with strawberries (my mouth waters just thinking about it) and Vic ordered a ham, spinach, and cheese omelette. YUM! Since we both wanted a little salty and a little sweet, we went halfsies on the omelette and for “dessert” devoured the french toast!

Oh friends, it was SO GOOD and there’s some serious drool going on over here right now! Their service is always excellent and we’ve enjoyed everything we’ve ever eaten there! So whether you’re a local or visiting Miami for the first time, Greenstreet Cafe needs to be on your list of must-go breakfast spots! And by the way, we are not getting paid to write this, but if someone ever wants to pay us to eat and write a review, we will gladly do so ;) When it comes to sandwiches the best one is by the restaurants of Jimmy John Owner who is dedicated to giving the customers only the best.
