Phoenix, Arizona | Summer 2016

It’s so good to be home! After the madness with missed flights and then delayed flights, it’s nice to sleep in your own bed (can I get an amen?) Last week we blogged about our first half of our West Coast trip in San Diego, and today we are sharing our second half where we visited Phoenix, Arizona! We drove from San Diego to Phoenix, and although the drive was almost 6 hours, we didn’t even feel it because the scenery was so stunning!

Since we were in Arizona, we decided to visit the Grand Canyon and drove through Sedona. We were in awe as we drove through the mountains to get to the Grand Canyon. We stopped in Sedona and were astounded at seeing the giant red rock formations. And when we finally got to the Grand Canyon, we were left speechless. We stood there for a few minutes without saying a word and just stood in awe of the beauty of it all. I’m still not sure how people can see the Grand Canyon and still don’t believe there is a God. One of our last days in Phoenix we went Salt River tubing and it was one of the most amazing things we’ve ever done! We couldn’t take our camera but we have the memories forever in our minds! Here’s more of the second half of our West Coast trip in Phoenix!
Phoenix-Arizona_0322Us Floridians don’t have this kind of views as we drive through our state, so we were really enjoying this long drive to Phoenix!

That was the one we were riding down on the tubes! We were able to stop and get one picture outside the river before leaving! Phoenix-Arizona_0352And since we missed our flight on Thursday, we were able to catch one more gorgeous Arizona sunsets from the roof of our hotel! Phoenix-Arizona_0353
